ACTIVATION

Setting up your new Brama Telecom service is simple!

Using the following installation instructions, you can be up and running within minutes! Make phone calls to all of your friends and start setting up all of your cool new features to make BramaTelecom even more reliable and fun to use! Before you begin please make sure you have a working and active Internet connection.

1. Open our website www.bramatelecom.com and login to your account which you created during registration process.

 

 

2. The first time you login to your account you will be sent to activation page.

 

 

3. On the activation page you must make sure that the address where the phone will be installed is correct. This address will be sent to 911. Please double check address before you activate your account.

4. In the MAC address box (marked red), enter the MAC address of your device, it can be found on the bottom of your device, as shown on the picture below. Press Activate.

 

 

5. After activation of your account you can begin installation of your phone adapter.                                                                                                              

                    

INSTALLATION OF YOUR PHONE ADAPTER

1.  If your computer is connected to modem through a router you should do the following:

A.   Power off all your network devices, including your modem, router and all connected computers.

B.   Disconnect the Ethernet cable between your modem and router. Connect one end of the cable into the INTERNET or WAN port of the phone adapter. The other end should go into the INTERNET port of your modem.

C.   Take the included Ethernet cable that came with the phone adapter, and plug one end into the ETHERNET or LAN port in your phone adapter. The other end should go into the INTERNET or WAN port of the router.

D.   Connect any regular phone to PORT 1 on your phone adapter.

E.   Power up your phone adapter.

F.   Plug in and power up all of your network connections one at a time in the following order with a 30 second interval: modem, phone adapter, router, and computer.

G.   Check for an internet connection on your computer. On your phone adapter, the LED lights for POWER and NETWORK should be on.

H.   At this point, leave your adapter on; activation may take up to 60 minutes. Your phone will be ready to use when light PHONE1 is green. If you bought two lines then PHONE2 light (if connected to a phone) will be green as well.

I.    If after 60 minutes activation was not completed, reset the power on your phone adapter. Simply unplug it, wait for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

J.   The Linksys SPA 2102 is ready for use when the PHONE 1 light on the top of the adapter is green. This may take up to 1 hour, as the adapter needs to register with BramaTelecom`s system. Once the Power LED, Ethernet LED, and Phone 1 LED lights are solid green then your phone is ready to make and receive calls. When the PHONE 1 light is solid confirm your Internet connection.

2. If you do not have a router, you should do following:

A.   Power off all your network devices. Including your modem and computer.

B.   Disconnect the Ethernet cable between your modem and computer. Connect one end of the cable into the INTERNET or WAN port of the phone adapter. The other end should go into the INTERNET port of your modem.

C.   Take the included Ethernet cable that came with the phone adapter, and plug one end into the ETHERNET or LAN port in your phone adapter. The other end should go into the INTERNET port of the computer.

D.   Connect any regular phone to PORT 1 on your phone adapter.

E.   Power up your phone adapter.

F.   Plug in and power up all of your network connections one at a time in the following order with a 30 second interval: modem, phone adapter, and computer.

G.   Check for an internet connection on your computer. On your phone adapter, the LED lights for POWER and NETWORK should be on.
